So, how did I land on these two tools? I assessed them based on five areas that I value the most in a business intelligence platform:

The Data Enrichment feature enhances the available data with additional sales intelligence and validates it against an existing list, improving the quality of our campaigns and lead qualification process.
  3. Recruiting: I don’t use this feature—but the platform provides detailed profiles and efficient search tools, which can connect you with top talent more effectively.

ZoomInfo Services

Larger teams can really benefit from ZoomInfo’s automation and advanced analytics integration. Here’s my take on the four key services this robust platform offers:

  1. SalesOS: ZoomInfo’s SalesOS is a powerful sales intelligence solution. I enjoyed the platform’s Sales Automation feature, which streamlines repetitive tasks and organizes leads. The Advanced Search function allows for precise prospect targeting, which advances our lead pipeline. Features like Chat and Chorus also enhance team communication and efficiency.
  2. OperationsOS: OperationsOS automates data cleaning and deduplication, which is a significant time-saver for my team. Functionalities like data standardization, merging duplicates, and removing orphan contacts lend accuracy and reliability to our database. Plus, I find the easy-to-use rule setups for customizing workflows super beneficial.
  3. MarketingOS: ZoomInfo’s MarketingOS supports account-based marketing with advanced B2B intelligence. Features such as Funnel-Driven Insights and Cross-Channel Advertising will help refine your marketing strategies. My team notes that the Website Chat and Form Enrichment tools are highly effective in capturing and qualifying leads directly from our site.

Seamless.AI uses artificial intelligence to crawl the web for real-time contact information. This AI-driven approach makes it easier for me and my team to quickly connect with potential leads and streamline our outreach process. 

However, it isn’t a flawless experience—there were instances where I encountered outdated or incorrect email addresses. I noticed other users had also raised data inaccuracy as a concern in their reviews. I found the industry filters, intended to help segment data, a bit cluttered.

ZoomInfo takes a meticulous approach to data accuracy. It employs proprietary algorithms and manual verification to ensure a high level of precision to the data it gathers from public records, company websites, and social media platforms. This process results in comprehensive firmographic and technographic data that support strategic decision-making.

The platform's detailed records made it easier for my team to tailor our outreach strategies effectively. The main downside? I’d say getting firmographic data for niche industries was occasionally challenging, but ZoomInfo's extensive database still proved superior to many competitors. My cross-checking of data samples consistently showed ZoomInfo as the more reliable option.

Seamless.AI has a user-friendly interface, but I found the search process cumbersome. Many users share this frustration, noting that assembling prospect lists takes significant effort. Like other users, I found the inability to search data by industry codes limiting.

Although Seamless.AI offers webinars, a knowledge center, and phone support during business hours, I found the lack of 24/7 phone support frustrating when my team needed more hands-on assistance.

ZoomInfo provides a well-organized interface with extensive resources, including a Resources Center, blog, and Help Center, for self-service learning. However, I found that ZoomInfo has a STEEP learning curve, so personalized support could be helpful when using the tool!

5. Pricing and Plans

Pricing can be crucial when choosing a platform, especially for startups and small businesses. Let’s see how our two platforms compare.

Even then, you don’t get the exact pricing as plans are customizable.

I'm not a fan of this approach—I prefer straightforward pricing information that enables me to quickly determine whether a service fits my budget without needing to initiate a meandering conversation with sales. 

It’s also well-known that ZoomInfo is likely the most expensive BI tool on the market. If you want to fully utilize the platform and its features, the costs can add up to tens of thousands of dollars annually!
